In this assessment you will get to identify and get to know your students in one shot. It was designed to take a look at different components of skills and capabilities such as fine motor skills, writing skills, counting skills, letters, shapes, color identification, photographic identification and icon identification. I have also included some basic CVC words for decoding skills and some sight word recognition. Another important skill to recognize is when you’re working with self-contained students you also want to which type of shape thickness and size you want to incorporate as you differentiate your activities within your classroom. You will also be able to assess that through this basic assessment.

This assessment can be use receptively and expressively for some parts. You can even photocopy twice and create matching activities directly from the assessment to assess one to one correspondence. This is a 43 page assessment that will hopefully target the varying levels within your classroom.

Best of all you have a teacher record form to help you with meetings and IEP writing. Also included you have a student individual profile to see the mastery across all 4 quarters of the school year. This is great to incorporate in Cums and IEP binders or data binders. It will be included in a PDF format and editable word version. Lastly, you’re going to be able to do a class quarter summary for up to 13 students where you can document all the students percentages for every single skill so you can get an overall class glance.
